Velocity offers desirable bloodlines very rarely available in pony size!
She is a delightful mare who is ready to move on to the next stage of her life. She has been extensively handled and should be an easy pony to start under saddle. She is very intelligent and sensitive – so she will need to go to an experienced home. We have put a fair bit of work into this mare and we would like to see someone help her to reach her full potential. Velocity is out of our incredibly beautiful TB mare – Petit Pom who is 14.2hh hands and her sire is Larkspur Ripples, a well known pinto stallion, progeny of whom have been exported as eventing prospects to the USA . Velocity will make a fantastic competitive pony and best friend for a lucky someone.
All of the hard work has been done with this mare, and she is now just waiting to be started under saddle and light riding duties which she will be ready for in early to mid 2010 I expect. She adores human company and attention, and will follow you around and she loves being groomed. She is fantastic with others horses and is currently a paddock companion to two of my broodmares and their foals. She is very patient with the youngsters, but makes sure they know their place – just like a proper older sister. She is exactly the type of pony I would have given my left hand for when I was a kid! She has been is great to handle for the vet, the farrier, she has been covered, hard fed and she has floated twice. No dirt at all – this mare wants to please.
Ideal prospect for an experienced horsey home. This mare can be registered with the pinto society if desired. I expect that Velocity will make an ideal 2nd or 3rd pony (once she is under saddle and has learnt the basics) – and given her bloodlines – I can see her doing well in the competition arena. Later in life – she will make an excellent addition to any pony breeder’s broodmare herd
.
Only available to the very best of homes where she will be loved, spoilt and doted on.
Update – Velocity will be sent off to be started under saddle at the end of Feb 2010. Arrangements have been made. She is still available at her unstarted price, but not for long!
This is a regretful sale as I adore this mare, but she was bred to sell and we have also shifted our breeding focus quite dramatically which means it is time for her to find a wonderful new home.
