This little filly combines both colour and breeding in one spectacular package. Memphis is going to quite an unusual colour when she grows up, and it will be exciting to see how her colour changes. She is very dark along her top line, but this is complimented by a light caramel colouring at her underpoints. She is likely to be at least 16.2hh when she is all grown up – and possibly a little bigger. Her mother is 18hh after all.
 
At this stage, she will be retained. However, as I suspect that it is unlikely that we will be able to help Memphis to realize her full potential as a ridden horse – and so she will be for sale once she has been started. We do however intend to breed at least one foal for her before she leaves us, which will be a sad day indeed as I’m very emotionally attached to this little girl.
 
At this stage, I’m hedging that her future lies in showjumping or eventing. Her movement is good, but not at the level I would be looking for to put her forward for a dressage career. However she is absolutely fearless, and I can see her enjoying the challenge and fun of jumping. A hoon on the hunting field is not out the question either.
